It’s Puerto Rican’s week!! The National PR Day Parade will be this Sunday June 11 and for the remainder of the week the Dominican Word of the Day turns Puerto Rican to give us the chance to learn some of PR’s slang. Enjoy!
PR Word - Encabronao’: Slang for getting pissed off at or mad at something. Equivalent to Dominican slang word encojonao’, pique!
Puerto Rican: Mira a ‘ete Manuel esta ENCABRONAO’ conmigo porque yo no le compre un café, bendito nene que te pasa?
Dominican: Loco, Manuel tiene un pique contigo por que no le compraste el Café.
English: Manuel is mad since you did not buy him any coffee.
