Today's Dominican Word: Yo and Charly – slang/phrases for describing someone’s style. A “Yo” is someone who dresses with baggy clothes (hip hop) and a “Charly” is someone who dresses preppy and in style.
Dominican: El papa de Manuel se molesto porque un dia se aparecio en la casa vestido como un yo. Manuel ahora se viste como todo un charly.
English: Manuel’s father was upset when he showed up at home dressed in hip hop (YO) clothes. The dude changed, he now dresses in a preppy (Charly) style.
