Today's Dominican Word: E-To’ Ta’ Cedula – Slang for this is legit, registered, it’s legal. I just recently came across this word and the reason behind it makes sense. In the DR a cedula is your government issued ID, which you must carry at all times. It contains all your information with an obvious unique ID Number.

Dominican: Oye manito, yo compre mi carro y ’ta cedula, no me hagas trucos.

English: Bro, I bought my car and it’s registered, no illegal business.
