Dominican 1: Que Lo Que Caballo, MONTAME, que te cuentas de nuevo?
Dominican 2: Loco, la tipa me saludo y de una vez le comense a MONTAR a ver que lo que hay con ella.

English 1: What's up, talk to me (MONTAME), what's new?
English 2: Bro, she said hello and I took the opportunity to rap to her (MONTAR) and find out what's going on with her?

Today's Dominican Word: DIACHE : A slang for saying damn, damn it, or to be awed (wow).

Dominican 1: Diache, Manuel siempre me bloquea el parqueo de mi casa.
Dominican 2: Diache, Mi Mama se gano la lotto.

English 1: Damn it (Diache), Manuel is always blocking my driveway.
English 2: WOW (Diache), My Mom won the lotto.

Today's Dominican Word: CACHE : To be in style, a pretty boy a glam girl. This person always dresses nice and on point, not to mention his/her hair is always done in style, this person is CACHE. CACHE can also signify when a party is going well and you’re asked for an opinion about the party, you can reply, this party is going great (esta fiesta esta CACHE).

Dominican: Manuel siempre se viste CACHE, ayer gasto $300 dolares en un Pantalon.

English: Manuel is always dressing in style (CACHE), yesterday he spent $300 in jeans alone.

Today's Dominican Word: TITUA : A sound one makes when we assimulate the sound of a slap, punch, kick, or any other form when hitting a person physically.

Dominican: Luisito estaba molestando mucho a Federico, hasta que Federico se cansao y TITUA le dio una trompada Luisito que lo mando acostarse.

English: Luisito was bothering Federico a bit too much, until Federico got fed up with it and punched (TITUA) Luisito so hard he had no choice but to go bed.

The Return

Yes!!!! It's Back - Dominican Word of The Day, by yours truly Robin Arturo - Tiburon at his best. Many persoanl projects went on since I last wrote the last DR Word of the Day in 2009. The projects don't stop, but with my new traveling wireless toys, I am now ready to bring you more comical words on how our cultures speaks in a ebonics way. Dominican: Manuel estaba tarde para la cita de trabajao, la mama le prepare su café y le dijo, Mi hijo Juye que se te hace tarde.

English: Manuel was running late for his interview, in the mean time his mom prepared him some coffee and told him to hurry up.

Dominican: Manuel tiene la mejor suerte del mundo, iva rapido en la carretera y por chepa la policia no lo paro.

English: Manuel was driving 70 mph, but he was lucky not to stopped by the cops.
